our love story

We first met in August 2020, in the very romantic setting of Calculus II class at Florida Poly (in the middle of a global pandemic, no less). Being the nerds that we are, we both stayed behind after the first lecture to ask our professor about his office hours to get ahead of the pack. On the way out of the classroom, one "hello" turned into us walking all the way back to the dorms together, which turned into us spending hours in Santi's dorm talking about everything from the Portal video games to our favorite jazz musicians until Alon's next class. We would both agree later that we somehow just instantly felt comfortable with each other.​​

With both of us having recently come out of messy relationships, we tried really hard not to fall for one another. Thankfully, we were hopeless and inseparable. At the height of the pandemic, every social outing felt like a date, from the dining hall to stargazing on the lawn to our first official date at Bok Tower Gardens. Santiago basically moved into Alon's dorm - for social distancing and safety purposes, of course - and we grew to know one another as no one ever has. We fell in love and have just never stopped falling.

Now, after two (yes, two) proposals and five years together, we're so excited to finally tie the knot and celebrate with our favorite people!
